Student successes:

Carly Simmerling 2006
D & B Performing Arts College in Bromley, Kent. Carly graduated from her 3 year course in 2009 and has since appeared in ‘High School Musical’ on the Disney Channel; ‘Jack & the Beanstalk’ & ‘Dick Whittington’. She has also danced on the P & O liner Oceana. Last winter she appeared in ‘Aladdin’.

Kilian Smith 2007
The Royal Ballet School. Kilian took part in The Royal Ballet production of ‘The Nutcracker’ dancing the part of Fritz. Kilian is doing extremely well and has just completed his 4th year at White Lodge, which is home to the Royal Ballet Lower School. Christmas 2010 he appeared in The Royal Ballet production of ‘Peter and the Wolf’ dancing the part of Peter.

Hannah Bimpson 2007
Bird College in Kent. Hannah has just graduated from her 3 year course. After seeing her in the lead role in ‘Crazy for You’ at the end of 2009, a London agent signed her up.

Sara Sturmey 2008
Tiffany Theatre College in Essex. Sara graduated from her 2 year course in 2010 and is now back living localy and is very involved in The Academy again.

Hayley Totczyk 2010
Hayley auditioned successfully for Tiffany Theatre College and now has almost completed her first year there.

English Youth Ballet:

Hannah Bimpson
Hannah appeared in ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ at Bournemouth Pavillion in 2006.

Holly Reyes-Hughes
Holly appeared in ‘Giselle’ at King’s Theatre Portsmouth in 2009. She has now successfuly auditioned to appear in ‘The Nutcracker’ in October 2011

Hampshire Bursary:

Holly Reyes-Hughes
won the Hampshire ‘Bursary for Dance’ in 2009.

Rebecca Nutt
won the Hampshire ‘Bursary for Dance’ in 2010.

Charity Productions:

PAST:

2004 – The proceeds of over £2000 were donated to Naomi House from the production called ‘Children Dancing for Children’.

2007 – The proceeds of over £4000 were donated to Wessex Heartbeat (Paediatric Ward) from the Production ‘Musical Moments & Classical Delights’.

April 2011 - The successful production of ‘The Snow Queen supported by a Musical Mayhem’ - raised a total of £5150 in aid of Leukaemia Busters.
