What We Teach
Our aim is to bring the joy of dancing and theatre into the studio and give everyone the opportunity to learn and perform with confidence, whether a student attends once weekly for fun or is considering dance and theatre as a career, the skills acquired in class will be incorporated into many aspects of their lives. Building confidence, self discipline, promoting team work as well as being able to work individually, we help students unleash their potential.
Classical Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Developing poise, posture, artistry, musicality and performance quality students explore the joy of dance and the classical technique.
Our Ballet classes are built to ensure students have an anatomical awareness which is vital to successful execution of the ballet technique. Supported by regular examinations for those who wish to take them.
Tap Dancing is one of the most fun dance forms, from the styles of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, through to the latest modern influences, tap dance has and will continue to be enjoyed and admired by many.
The ISTD syllabus has introduced exciting grades, based on American tap styles, encouraging a strong sense of rhythm as well as developing a sense of performance. Pupils can start from the age of 4 and examinations with the Imperial society of Teachers of Dancing can be taken.
These fun, exciting, engaging sessions will build confidence, build knowledge of the musicals by combining song dance and script to bring the joy of theatre to the studio!
Our classes enable students to develop their creativity, express emotion, build on their social skills and self confidence whilst learning the different techniques used for performance on stage.
Contemporary dance was developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world.
Although originally formed by and borrowing from classical, modern, and jazz styles, it has come to incorporate elements from many styles of dance.
