Dance for Every Age In Lymington
At NFAD, we welcome dancers from age 2 ½ through adulthood—with no upper age limit. Whether you’re a parent seeking your child’s first class or an adult returning to dance, our classes are inclusive, supportive, and tailored to every stage of life.
Dance Styles
We teach a variety of styles across age groups, with careful attention to age-appropriate technique and development. The pathways diagram below shows what styles are available to each age group.
Ballet
Our ballet classes develop strong technique and discipline in a nurturing environment. Classes follow the RAD syllabus with opportunities for progression at every level, from pre-school to adult beginners and returners.
Tap
Tap classes at NFAD follow the IDTA syllabus and focus on rhythm, timing and enjoyment. From playful early years sessions to upbeat adult classes, students develop musicality and precision at their own pace.
Modern
Modern classes offer an energetic mix of structured technique and expressive movement. We teach IDTA syllabuses in a fun and supportive way, helping students build strength, flexibility and style.
Contemporary
Contemporary classes are available from age 8+ and suitable for teens and adults. We explore creative movement, floorwork and freedom of expression, offering an outlet for individuality alongside technique.
Musical Theatre
Our Musical Theatre classes combine singing, dancing and acting. Suitable for children and teens, confident performers and beginners alike, these sessions encourage storytelling, stage presence and ensemble work.
Street
Street classes are fast-paced, confidence-building and full of energy. Open to school-age children and teens, these sessions follow the IDTA syllabus and blend commercial dance styles with a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
