Embody Future Teachers Programme at NFAD

We are proud to be launching the Embody Future Teachers Programme at the New Forest Academy of Dance – an inspiring and accredited course designed to empower our young dancers aged 11 and above to begin their journey into dance teaching.
This unique programme is offered in partnership with Embody Dance, and combines classroom training, in-class experience, and one-to-one support to help develop skills in leadership, communication and confidence.
Who is it for?
Dancers aged 11+, currently in Grade 5 or 6.
Students who are passionate about dance and are ready to explore teaching and assisting younger pupils.
We hope to offer this to younger students in future years.
Level 1 Programme Highlights
Duration: 10 months (June 2025 – March 2026)
(Please note: this initial cohort will complete Level 1 in 8 months to enable continuation to Level 2/3 next year.)Progression: Students begin at Level 1 (Intro to Assisting), with the option to advance to Levels 2 and 3.
Training Sessions: 4 group sessions, each 1.5–2 hours, using a structured and visually engaging workbook.
Weekly Assisting: At least 30 minutes per week assisting in a regular NFAD class during term time.
(If your child is already assisting, their current time may be adapted slightly – no additional time will be required.)1:1 Support: Personal guidance from NFAD staff to support students’ progress and confidence.
Certification & CPD Credits:
Students earn internationally recognised CPD credits at each level, which can be added to CVs and future applications.Additional Bonus: This year’s cohort will also receive free First Aid Training as part of the programme.
